...River Statement For The Catoma Creek...

Rises continue along Catoma Creek following heavy rainfall this
weekend. However...levels are expected to remain below established
flood stages...and any overflow along the river should be of a minor
nature.

The Catoma Creek Near U.S. 331 Highway Bridge.
 Latest stage:     18.2 feet at 2 PM Monday.
 Caution stage:    20.0 feet.
 Flood stage:      20.0 feet.
 Forecast:         Crest near 19.2 feet tomorrow early afternoon
                   and then begin to fall.

* Impact...At 20.0 feet...Flooding of agricultural lands in the
  vicinity of the U.S. 331 Highway Bridge occurs.

statements concerning this event.

Another statement will be issued Tuesday morning...or sooner if
conditions warrant.
