...Lower end of the Embarras River expected to crest just below flood
stage on Saturday...

River levels continue to rise along the lower end of the Embarras River,
in response to the recent rain. At the present time, it appears that
the river should crest below flood stage.

The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil
moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation.

At Lawrenceville, the latest stage is 27.7 feet at 9 AM. Flood stage
is 30 feet. A crest of 29.1 feet is forecast for Saturday morning.


Persons with interests in these areas need to stay tuned for further
updates.
