High pressure was in place over much of the southeast U.S. A frontal
boundary extended from the Great Lakes area, through northern
Illinois, into the Central Plains. An upper level disturbance was
moving from southern Iowa into central Illinois.

High temperatures Thursday were in the mid 80s to around 90. Low
temperatures overnight ranged from the mid 60s to the mid 70s.

There were a few showers and thunderstorms across the eastern third
of the state.

We can look for scattered showers or thunderstorms tonight with less
of a chance on Friday. Lows tonight will be range from near 70 to
the mid 70s.  Highs Friday will range from the mid 80s to the mid
90s.
