...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR ROOSEVELT...SOUTHEASTERN QUAY AND
CURRY COUNTIES UNTIL 500 PM MDT...

At 427 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles west of Grady to near Portales.
Movement was northeast at 45 mph.

Half inch hail and wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Clovis, Portales, Tucumcari, Texico, Melrose, San Jon, Dora, Floyd,
Grady and Causey.

This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 329 and 373.

Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibilities below one quarter mile at times.

Wildfire ignitions will be possible due to the lightning and fast
moving nature to the storms. Be extra cautious for fast moving
wildfires if one were to ignite.
