...High Water From the Dalton Highway West through the Weekend...

Heavy rain over the past several days has caused high water on
small streams from the Dalton Highway west. This water is now
moving into larger rivers and causing sharp rises on the Koyukuk,
John, Wild and Alatna Rivers. No significant flooding is
expected, but gravel bars and sloughs will be covered with water.
People camping and hunting along these rivers should be aware of
sharp rises and increased debris on rivers over the next several
days.

More rain is expected through Friday keeping the streams and
rivers high into the weekend.
