JUNEAU BOROUGH AND NORTHERN ADMIRALTY ISLAND-
INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...SKAGWAY...JUNEAU

...WATER LEVELS RISING BUT NO FLOODING EXPECTED...

HEAVY RAIN OVER THE NORTHERN PANHANDLE CONTINUES TO CAUSE
RIVERS AND STREAMS TO RISE. TYPICAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS HAVE BEEN
FROM 0.50 TO 1.25 INCHES OVER THE LAST 12 HOURS AS OF 1 PM AKDT.
SOILS ARE SATURATED AND WINDY CONDITIONS COULD CAUSE MINOR LAND
OR MUDSLIDES.

HIGH WATER WILL BE OBSERVED IN THE JUNEAU AREA AT: MONTANA
CREEK...MENDENHALL LAKE AND RIVER...AND JORDAN CREEK. CREST TIMES
WILL BE TONIGHT WITH RAPIDLY SUBSIDING WATERS LATER ON MONDAY.
OTHER SMALLER STREAMS WILL ALSO HAVE HIGHER WATER.

HIGH WATER WILL BE OBSERVED IN THE SKAGWAY AREA FOR THE TAIYA AND
SKAGWAY RIVERS.

PERSONS NEAR THESE RIVERS AND STREAMS SHOULD BE AWARE OF HIGHER
THAN NORMAL FLOW AND WATERS APPROACHING BANKFULL. BE SAFE NEAR
THESE WATERS AND DO NOT ATTEMPT CROSSINGS IF YOU OBSERVE HIGH
WATER OVER ROADS AND TRAILS.
