...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHEASTERN KERN AND SOUTH
CENTRAL TULARE COUNTIES UNTIL 615 PM PDT...

At 533 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14
miles north of South Lake Cdp, or 15 miles north of Lake Isabella,
moving southeast at 5 mph.

Dime size hail, heavy downpours, and winds in excess of 30 mph will
be possible with this storm. Moderate runoff and ponding will occur
with the heavy rainfall.

Locations impacted include...
Riverkern and Kernville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
