AT 1241 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING A LINE OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 6 MILES NORTHWEST OF
VARNADO TO 7 MILES EAST OF EAST NEW ORLEANS TO 8 MILES EAST OF GOLDEN
MEADOW...AND MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH.

WINDS IN EXCESS OF 40 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS.

NEW ORLEANS...SLIDELL...BOGALUSA...PICAYUNE...POPLARVILLE...PORT
SULPHUR...GALLIANO...BELLE CHASSE...PEARL RIVER...GOLDEN MEADOW...
VARNADO...SUN...CROSSROADS...BUSH...LAFITTE...MERAUX...STENNIS SPACE
CENTER...POYDRAS...MYRTLE GROVE AND POINTE A LA HACHE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THESE STORMS.
LIGHTNING CAN STRIKE 15 MILES AWAY FROM A THUNDERSTORM. SEEK A SAFE
SHELTER INSIDE A BUILDING OR VEHICLE.

THESE STORMS MAY INTENSIFY...SO BE CERTAIN TO MONITOR LOCAL RADIO AND
