...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

RAIN SPREADING INTO SOUTHWEST INDIANA WILL CHANGE OVER TO SNOW
THIS EVENING. THE TREND HAS BEEN...ALONG AND NORTH OF ROUTE 13 IN
SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...FOR A QUICK 1/2 TO 1 INCH OR SO OF SNOW TO
ACCUMULATE ON MAINLY GRASSY SURFACES IN MANY AREAS. GIVEN THE BRIEF
HEAVIER SNOW RATES WITHIN THE BAND...A FEW SLUSHY SPOTS COULD
DEVELOP ON A FEW ROADS AS WELL AS THE ACTIVITY CONTINUES TO SPREAD
EAST ACROSS THE EVANSVILLE TRISTATE REGION. TEMPERATURES SHOULD
REMAIN CLOSE TO OR JUST ABOVE FREEZING THROUGH THE EVENT.
