...PATCHY DENSE FOG WILL HAMPER EARLY MORNING TRAVEL...

A VERY MOIST AIR MASS AND HIGH PRESSURE HAVE COMBINED TO RESULT IN
PATCHY DENSE FOG ACROSS SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA. VISIBILITIES IN SOME
AREAS HAVE BEEN REDUCED TO 1/2 MILE OR LESS. THIS WILL ESPECIALLY
BE TRUE IN VALLEYS AND NEAR RIVERS, CREEKS, STREAMS, AND LAKES.
VISIBLITIES WILL VERY CONSIDERABLY BETWEEN VALLEYS AND RIDGE TOPS.

WHEN TRAVELLING EARLY THIS MORNING, BE ALERT FOR RAPID FLUCTUATIONS
IN VISIBILITY AS YOU TRAVEL FROM VALLEYS TO RIDGETOPS AND VICE
VERSA. REDUCE SPEED, ALLOW EXTRA DISTANCE BETWEEN YOU AND THE
VEHICLE IN FRONT OF YOU, AND USE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS.

CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO IMPROVE RAPIDLY BY 9 AM EDT.
