CASCADES OF PIERCE AND LEWIS COUNTIES-

...EXPECT SNOW SHOWERS IN THE MOUNTAINS ABOVE ABOUT 4000 FEET
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY...

SNOW LEVELS WILL FALL TO AROUND 4500 FEET TONIGHT AND AROUND 4000
FEET THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT AS A COOL UPPER LEVEL LOW DROPS
INTO THE AREA FROM THE GULF OF ALASKA. SHOWERS WILL INCREASE IN
THE MOUNTAINS TONIGHT AND THURSDAY AS THE UPPER LOW MOVES INTO
THE AREA. AT THIS TIME IT APPEARS THAT A SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 2
TO 4 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE ABOVE ABOUT 4000 FEET ON THURSDAY.

WHILE ROADWAYS ACROSS THE MOUNTAIN PASSES ARE ONLY EXPECTED TO SEE
BRIEF SLUSHY ACCUMULATIONS OF AN INCH OR SO...PEOPLE THAT ARE
PLANNING TRAVEL INTO THE HIGHER BACK COUNTRY OF THE CASCADES AND
OLYPICS SHOULD BE PLAN FOR UP TO A FEW INCHES OF SNOW...POOR
VISIBILITIES AT TIMES...AND TEMPERATURES NEAR FREEZING.
