TO STRONG WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY...

.A weather pattern conducive for large fire growth will commence
today and continue through Wednesday as a broad trough develops
over the western United States keeping the flow over New Mexico
dry and windy. The strongest winds and critically low relative
humidity values today will favor the central mountain chain and
northeast highlands westward. Then, relative humidity will plummet
over eastern areas as well on Monday. Strong winds on Monday will
develop first over eastern areas, then linger longest over
eastern areas in the evening as well.

TUESDAY EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag
Warning...which is in effect from noon today to 10 PM MDT this
evening. A Red Flag Warning has also been issued from 10 AM to
10 PM MDT Monday. In addition...a Fire Weather Watch has been
issued from Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening. The Fire
Weather Watch for Monday is no longer in effect.

* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Highlands (Zones 123) from noon
  until 10 PM MDT today, from 10 AM until 10 PM Monday, and from
  11 AM until 11 PM Tuesday.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...For today, south and southwest 25 to 35 mph with
  gusts up to 55 mph. On Monday, west 25 to 35 mph with gusts up
  to 50 mph. On Tuesday, southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to
  55 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...For today, 12 to 25 percent with the highest
  humidity around Capulin. On Monday, 8 to 11 percent. On Tuesday,
  around 8 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Warning...which is in effect from noon until 10 PM today, and from
10 AM to 10 PM MDT Monday. A Fire Weather Watch has also been
issued from late Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening. The
Fire Weather Watch for Monday is no longer in effect.

* AREA AND TIMING...Northwest Plateau (Zone 101), West Central
  Mountains (Zone 105), and West Central Basin and Range (Zone
  109) today from noon until 10 PM MDT, Monday from 10 AM until 10
  PM, and Tuesday from 11 AM until 11 PM.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...For today, southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts up
  to 55 mph. On Monday, west and northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts
  up to 40 mph. On Tuesday, west 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50
  mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...8-18 percent, except 7-12 percent on
  Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly
  and will be hard to control. Long range spotting and extreme
  fire behavior will be possible. Outdoor burning should not be
  done.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...For today, south and southwest 20 to 35 mph with
  gusts up to 55 mph. On Monday and Tuesday, west 25 to 35 mph
  with gusts up to 55 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...7-20 percent, except 5-15 percent on
  Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly
  and will be hard to control. Long range spotting and extreme
  fire behavior will be possible. Outdoor burning should not be
  done.
