The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Chesapeake Bay from New Point Comfort to Little Creek VA...
  Entrance to the Chesapeake Bay including the Chesapeake Bay Bridge
  Tunnel...
  Coastal Waters from Parramore Island to the VA/NC Border out 20
  NM...

* Until 145 AM EDT.

* At 1250 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located over Lynnhaven, moving northeast at 30
  knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, 1st Island Bay Bridge, Latimer Shoal,
  Anglo African Wreck, Virginia Beach Oceanfront, Lynnhaven,
  Fishermans Island, Cape Charles Light, Cape Henry Wreck, Cabbage
  Patch, Little Creek, Rudee Inlet, and 4th Island Bay Bridge.
