Well above average temperatures are expected today, along with
gusty westerly winds ahead of a clipper system. This will bring
critical fire weather conditions to much of southern North Dakota
along with much of northern and western South Dakota. Some rain
showers may be found over parts of northwest Minnesota this
evening. Breezy winds with partly to mostly cloudy skies will
then be found tonight. Look for overnight lows generally in the
20s to lower 30s.

A cooling trend is then on tap for the weekend, with highs
generally in the 30s and 40s and lows in the teens and 20s. Windy
conditions are expected Saturday, with winds tapering some for
Sunday. Warmer temperatures then return to start the upcoming work
week.
