...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM TUESDAY TO 6 PM MDT
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 10
  and 16 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph creating
  significant blowing snow.

* WHERE...Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains.

* WHEN...From 6 PM Tuesday to 6 PM MDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Recreation in the high country will be impacted by heavy
  snow and blowing snow making recreation activities difficult to
  dangerous at times.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Expect avalanche danger to increase. The
  heaviest snow accumulations are expected on north facing slopes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you are heading to the high country be prepared for dangerous
winter conditions. Be sure to let someone know your plans in case
you become stranded.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM TUESDAY TO 6 PM MDT
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 10
  and 20 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph creating
  significant blowing snow.

* WHERE...In Montana, Pryor/Northern Bighorn Mountains. In Wyoming,
  Northeast Bighorn Mountains.

* WHEN...From 6 PM Tuesday to 6 PM MDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Heavy wet snow and gusty winds may cause tree and power
  line damage resulting in power outages. Recreation in the high
  country will be impacted by heavy accumulating snow and near
  whiteout conditions at times. Travel could be very difficult to
  impossible on Highway 14 over the Bighorn mountains.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Expect avalanche danger to increase. If you
  are heading to the high country be prepared for dangerous winter
  conditions. Be sure to let someone know your plans in case you
  become stranded.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For the latest road conditions, call 5 1 1.

Persons should consider delaying travel through the warned area. If
travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider
taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as
tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra
clothing. Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that
would help you survive in case you become stranded.

* IMPACTS...Recreation in the high country will be impacted by heavy
  accumulating snow and near whiteout conditions at times.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Expect avalanche danger to increase.

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 6 and
  12 inches possible.

* WHERE...Beartooth Foothills and Red Lodge Foothills.

* WHEN...From Tuesday evening through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Roads will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel
  could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the
  Wednesday morning and evening commutes.
