THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN COLUMBIA HAS ISSUED AN

* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  THE MIDLANDS OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND THE CENTRAL SAVANNAH RIVER
  AREA OF GEORGIA...

* UNTIL 1030 AM EST

* AT 734 AM EST NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
AREAS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN MOVING ACROSS THE REGION WITH
RAINFALL RATES OF 1-1.5 INCH PER HOUR.  WIDESPREAD RAINFALL HAS
ALREADY OCCURRED OVERNIGHT WITH MUCH OF THE AREA RECEIVING 1.5
TO 2.5 INCHES OF RAIN.

THE RAINFALL HAS CAUSED PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS AND MANY LOW
LYING AREAS AND TYPICAL POOR DRAINAGE LOCATIONS COULD EXPERIENCE
MINOR FLOODING. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO USE CAUTION WHILE TRAVELING
TODAY AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH THEIR DESTINATIONS.
