...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHERN PETTIS COUNTY...

At 1038 AM CDT, Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen across
the warned area. Heavy rainfall has ended. Flash flooding is already
occurring as a result from the runoff from this rainfall. Law
enforcement officials report numerous locations along Highway 52 are
under water between Windsor and US Highway 65.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Windsor and Green Ridge.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
