At 545 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in Pleasant Hill. Several roads are closed in and around town. Though the heavy rainfall has ended, flooding will likely continue through the evening. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Independence, Lee`s Summit, Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Pleasant Hill, Oak Grove, Greenwood, Buckner, Lake Lotawana, Lake Winnebago, Lone Jack, Orrick, Lake Tapawingo, Sibley, Baldwin Park, Levasy, Napoleon, Bates City, Camden and Strasburg.
