...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN SMITH...NORTHERN
PHILLIPS...FRANKLIN...PHELPS...KEARNEY...SOUTHEASTERN GOSPER...
EASTERN FURNAS AND HARLAN COUNTIES THROUGH 1145 PM CDT...

At 1110 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Loomis to Long Island. Movement was
northeast at 70 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to around 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Holdrege, Minden, Alma, Franklin, Oxford, Bertrand, Axtell, Beaver
City, Orleans, Loomis, Hildreth, Wilcox, Funk, Stamford, Republican
City, Upland, Long Island, Edison, Atlanta, and Naponee.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for
north central Kansas...and south central Nebraska.
