.DISCUSSION...
A weak cold front is moving through the area very early this
morning, bringing an end to thunderstorm potential and ushering in
a modestly cooler, drier airmass. This will provide a small break
from the heat and humidity of recent days. The impact of the
drier air will be modest, though, with RH only falling into the
45-55 percent range this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon. North
to northeasterly winds are expected today, and may gust to around
20 mph. Less gusty, more easterly winds are forecast to emerge on
Saturday, an early indicator of a return to onshore flow and the
return of deep moisture, leading to another round of showers and
storms Sunday into Monday.
