Generalized Statewide Coastal Waters Forecast for Hawaii

.Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters...
A strong upper disturbance approaching from the north will keep
the threat of thunderstorms in the forecast into Saturday. A
surface trough near Kauai will shift southeast today and hold
over the central waters through Sunday. The trough will weaken
and dissipate early next week as high pressure builds in from the
northeast.

Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels-

.REST OF TODAY...East southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to
5 feet. Wave Detail: East 4 feet at 7 seconds and north northwest
4 feet at 10 seconds. Heavy showers likely with a chance of
thunderstorms.
.TONIGHT...East southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet.
Wave Detail: North northwest 4 feet at 9 seconds and east 3 feet
at 7 seconds. Scattered showers with a chance of thunderstorms.
.SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT...East winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3
to 5 feet. Wave Detail: North northwest 4 feet at 9 seconds and
east 3 feet at 7 seconds. Scattered showers.
.SUNDAY...East winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Isolated
showers.
.SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY...East winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 4 to 5
feet. Isolated showers.
.TUESDAY...For Kauai, east southeast winds around 10 knots,
becoming variable less than 10 knots. Elsewhere, east southeast
winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Isolated showers.
