Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
122 AM CDT Thu May 2 2024

.DISCUSSION...

The best day for burning will be today as highs in the mid/upper
80s will push Min RH values into the 35-40% range. Winds will be
between 10-15 mph out of the south -- with mixing heights around 9 kft
creating very good dispersion. A weak front will move into the area
late tonight into Friday, bringing medium to high rain chances and
the potential for wetting rains Friday. Medium chances for showers/
storms will remain in the forecast through the weekend.

Fog potential over the next few days: There is a low chance for
fog tonight mainly in sheltered valleys and along water ways.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
