Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Southeast Illinois
National Weather Service Lincoln IL
246 AM CDT Fri Mar 29 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Vent rates will be favorable as south to southwest transport winds
increase this afternoon ahead of a low pressure system that will
bring a chance for thunderstorms tonight. Tomorrow afternoon,
winds will shift behind a cold front, blowing from the northwest
during the afternoon and evening. That front will lift back north
Sunday, fostering multiple rounds of thunderstorms which will
dampen fuels and maintain low mixing heights through at least
Monday night.
