A low pressure system over the eastern Pacific will bring wet
weather to the district beginning Friday and lasting to Sunday.
Southwest winds will become breezy to gusty mainly in the hills and
mountains Friday and Friday evening. Otherwise breezy  southwest
winds continuing mainly in the hills and mountains Saturday shifting
to west to northwest later Saturday and continuing Sunday. A few
showers may linger into Monday otherwise dry weather temporarily
returns early next week. Wet weather returns during the middle of
next week.

Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds.

...LIGHT RAIN AND MOUNTAIN SNOW LIKELY THIS WEEKEND WITH A SLIGHT
CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY...

Mild and dry conditions are expected through Friday. A cooler
pattern will return Friday night through Sunday night, with light
rain and mountain snow likely. There is also a 10-20 percent chance
of thunderstorms late Saturday night into Sunday. Most areas will
likely receive less than 0.25 inches of rain, but local amounts
between 0.25 and 0.50 inches will be possible for the mountains, as
well as the Central Coast and adjacent foothills. Snow levels are
expected to lower to between 3500 feet and 4000 feet by late
Saturday night and Sunday, with accumulations of 1 to 4 inches above
5000 feet. Interstate 5 near the Grapevine could receive between a
dusting to 1 inch of snow. There will also be long duration and
widespread gusty northwest winds Saturday through at least Tuesday.
