BEEN CANCELED. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE STILL
POSSIBLE THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING...BUT DO NOT EXPECT THE WIDESPREAD

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND NORTHEAST MISSOURI...
  INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...IN WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
  ADAMS IL...BROWN IL AND PIKE IL. IN NORTHEAST MISSOURI...KNOX
  MO...LEWIS MO...MARION MO...MONROE MO...PIKE MO...RALLS MO
  AND SHELBY MO.

* UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING

* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE THIS AFTERNOON WITH
  MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY RAIN EXPECTED. UP TO AN
  ADDITIONAL HALF AN INCH CAN BE EXPECTED ON ALREADY SATURATED
  SOILS.

* THE HEAVY RAINFALL IS RESULTING IN FLOODING OF LOW LYING OR
  POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. DANGEROUS FLASH FLOODING IS STILL
  POSSIBLE ON SMALLER CREEKS AND STREAMS. SIGNIFICANT RISES ON
  LARGER STREAMS AND RIVERS WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED
QUICKLY. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...ABANDON IT AND SEEK HIGHER
GROUND IMMEDIATELY. RAPIDLY RISING WATER MAY ENGULF YOUR VEHICLE
AND ITS OCCUPANTS AND SWEEP THEM AWAY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
