...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 PM CDT FOR
CENTRAL STE. GENEVIEVE AND WESTERN ST. FRANCOIS COUNTIES...

AT 729 PM CDT...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED THAT STRAUGHN ROAD
WAS FLOODED IN STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY.  EARLIER...HIGHWAY Y WAS
REPORTED FLOODED EAST OF FRENCH VILLAGE.  DOPPLER RADAR AND SPOTTER
REPORTS INDICATE THAT BETWEEN 2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAINFALL HAS FALLEN
OVER THE WARNED AREA FROM THUNDERSTORMS THAT HAVE SINCE MOVED OUT OF
THE AREA.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
BLOOMSDALE...ROCKY RIDGE...LEADINGTON...DOE RUN AND FRENCH VILLAGE.

THIS INCLUDES INTERSTATE 55 IN MISSOURI BETWEEN EXITS 150 AND 162.

THIS WARNING ALSO INCLUDES ...
ST. JOE STATE PARK...ST. FRANCOIS STATE PARK...FELIX VALLE HOUSE
STATE PARK...AND MISSOURI MINES HISTORIC SITE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.
