The National Weather Service will monitor this developing
situation and issue follow up statements as conditions or forecasts
change.

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe
passage.

  The Mississippi River at Clarksville Lock and Dam 24.
* At 7:00 AM Thursday the stage was 24.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* The river fell below flood stage at 12:15 AM Thursday.
* Forecast:  The river is forecast to continue to fall to near 23.6 feet
  Saturday morning.
