.This flood warning is due to Mississippi river backwater...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe
passage.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Meramec River near Arnold
* until Tuesday.
* At 8:00 PM Thursday the stage was 27.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast: The river will crest near 28.4 feet Saturday morning,
  then fall below flood stage Tuesday evening July 15th.
* Impact:  At 27.0 feet...Meramec Bottom Road between Wells Road and
  Kerth Road begins flooding near this height.
