PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe
passage.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Kaskaskia River at Carlyle TW
* until Wednesday.
* At 7:00 PM Sunday the stage was 424.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 423.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast:  The river will continue rising to near 424.4 feet by tomorrow
  morning, then fall below flood stage Wednesday afternoon.
* Impact:  At 423.5 feet...FLOOD STAGE.  Rural damage begins.
  Township roads in Covington become inundated.
