The National Weather Service will monitor this situation and issue
follow up statements as conditions or forecasts change.

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe
passage.

  the Kaskaskia River at Carlyle Lake TW
* until further notice.
* At 12:30 PM Sunday the stage was 425.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 423.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* The river is forecast to remain steady near 425.7 feet through Friday
  morning and then begin falling.
