AT 434 PM CDT...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED HEAVY RAIN IN
COLUMBIA ILLINOIS DUE TO THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE URBAN AND
SMALL STREAM FLOODING. UP TO TWO AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN HAS
ALREADY FALLEN.

BELLEVILLE...WATERLOO...COLUMBIA...MASCOUTAH...FREEBURG...DUPO...
MILLSTADT...SMITHTON...NEW ATHENS...MARISSA...EAST CARONDELET...ST.
LIBORY...LENZBURG...HECKER...FAYETTEVILLE...BARR...FLORAVILLE AND
PADERBORN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS...
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS RIVER OR STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED OR PONDING
OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
