THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST LOUIS  HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHEASTERN OSAGE COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSOURI...
  FRANKLIN COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI...
  GASCONADE COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI...
  JEFFERSON COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 1215 PM CDT THURSDAY

* AT 314 AM CDT...REPORTING GAUGES INDICATE THAT STREAMS AND RIVERS
  ARE RISING FROM THE 1 TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN THAT FELL OVER THE AREA
  ON WEDNESDAY EVENING.  SEVERAL ROADS HAVE BEEN CLOSED IN THE
  WARNED AREA BECAUSE OF HIGH WATER.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  ARNOLD...WASHINGTON...FESTUS...UNION...SULLIVAN...PACIFIC...DE
  SOTO...PEVELY...CRYSTAL CITY...ST. CLAIR...HERCULANEUM...
  HILLSBORO...BYRNES MILL...OWENSVILLE...LINN...BARNHART...MURPHY...
  CEDAR HILL...GRAY SUMMIT AND ANTONIA.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
 INTERSTATE 44 IN MISSOURI BETWEEN EXITS 225 AND 257.
 INTERSTATE 55 IN MISSOURI BETWEEN EXITS 170 AND 191.

THIS WARNING ALSO INCLUDES ...
MASTODON HISTORIC SITE...SANDY CREEK COVERED BRIDGE HISTORIC SITE...
GOV. DUNKLIN`S GRAVE HISTORIC SITE...ROBERTSVILLE STATE PARK...AND
MERAMEC STATE PARK.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.
STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED.
HOWEVER...ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS
IMMEDIATELY.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
