FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EASTERN/CENTRAL MO AND SOUTHWEST IL
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ST LOUIS MO
512 AM CDT TUE MAR 24 2015

.DISCUSSION...
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT MUCH OF THE AREA ALONG AND NORTH
OF I-70 THIS MORNING...WITH WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS FURTHER
SOUTH. AFTER A MOSTLY DRY AFTERNOON...ANOTHER LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS
WHICH COULD PRODUCE LOCALLY DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...AND POSSIBLY
A FEW TORNADOES. STORMS WILL WEAKEN AS THEY MOVE EAST OVERNIGHT.

ANOTHER ROUND OF STORMS IS EXPECTED ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE I-44 CORRIDOR
IN MISSOURI AND THE I-70 CORRIDOR IN ILLINOIS LATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
INTO WEDNESDAY EVENING. SOME OF THE STORMS COULD BE SEVERE WITH
DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL. LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE
ACROSS PARTS OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS.
