Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL
National Weather Service Saint Louis MO
405 PM CDT Thu Jun 22 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Chances of showers and thunderstorms will increase tonight due to
two factors: 1) a cold front approaching from the northwest and
2) Tropical depression Cindy approaching from the southwest. Best
chances of showers/storms late tonight will be across far northern
and southern areas. The front will progress through the area
by early afternoon with lingering chances of storms across southeast
Missouri and southwest Illinois. Behind the front, much drier and cooler
air will filter into the region which should last through Tuesday
of next week. Minimum relative humidity values will dip to around 30
percent across portions of northeast Missouri Saturday afternoon,
but north/northwest winds speeds should stay low enough to preclude
elevated fire danger.
