Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL
National Weather Service Saint Louis MO
408 AM CDT Mon Mar 18 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Northwest winds today will keep temperatures well below normal in the
40s. While relative humidity levels are expected to drop below 30
percent this afternoon, the wind is expected to be weakening by then
so widespread and persistent heightened fire danger is not expected
this afternoon. Tuesday will be much warmer with a stronger southwest
wind in the afternoon and low relative humidity. There will therefore
be a potential for heightened fire danger in the afternoon. The rest
of the week is expected to be cooler, with low chances for rain on
Thursday and Friday.
