Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL
National Weather Service Saint Louis MO
427 AM CDT Tue Mar 21 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Heightened fire danger exists across much of central and northeast
Missouri and west central Illinois today due to sustained wind between
12 and 15 mph, minimum relative humidity less than 30 percent, and
dry fuels. Further south, there is a chance for showers and
thunderstorms in the vicinity of a stationary front along the
Missouri and Arkansas border. Northeast flow today will turn to the
east on Wednesday as high pressure moves from the Upper Midwest
southeast Great Lakes region. Wind will continue to turn to the
south and southeast and moisture will increase Thursday with rain and
thunderstorms becoming likely by Friday night.
