...The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a hydrologic
statement for the following river...


  Missouri River affecting Jefferson City...Hermann...Washington and St.
  Charles


.This hydrologic statement is based on significant rainfall from last weekend and
additional heavy rain across the basin this afternoon and tonight...

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe
passage.

* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise to 18.2 feet by Tuesday morning. Additional rises are
  possible thereafter.
