...The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a hydrologic
statement for the following rivers...


  Missouri River affecting Chamois...Hermann...St. Charles


.This hydrologic statement is based on __ inches of precipitation the
past 24 hours and __ inches forecast in the next 24 hours...

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe
passage.

Forecast information for
  The Missouri River near Chamois
* At 7AM Saturday the stage was 14.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by this evening and
  continue rising to near 20.0 feet by Thursday morning. Additional
  rises are possible thereafter.
* At 17.0 feet... Flood Stage:  Lower lying bottom land begins to
flood.

Forecast information for
  The Missouri River at Hermann
* At 10AM Saturday the stage was 19.4 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by tomorrow morning
  and crest near 23.6 feet by Thursday early afternoon.
* At 21.0 feet... Minor flooding of cropland begins...particularly
just north of the Highway 19 bridge along the Loutre River.

  The Missouri River at St. Charles
* At 10AM Saturday the stage was 21.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by Wednesday before
  midnight and continue rising to near 25.2 feet by Thursday morning.
  Additional rises are possible thereafter.
* At 25.0 feet... The right bank downstream overflows, flooding
agricultural bottomland.  Near this stage, Missouri Route H at Island
Road will be closed in both directions.
