...The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a hydrologic
statement for the following rivers...


  Missouri River affecting Jefferson City


.This hydrologic statement is based on 1 to 2 inches of rainfall the
past 24 hours and 3 to 4 inches forecast in the next 48 hours...

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe
passage.

Forecast information for
  The Missouri River at Jefferson City
* At 9AM Saturday the stage was 11.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by late Tuesday
  morning and crest near 23.3 feet by early Wednesday morning. The
  river will fall below flood stage by Wednesday afternoon.
* At 23.5 feet... Near this height...Smith Hatchery is closed south
of Coopers Landing and Providence Landing cannot be reached.
