EASTERN MADISON COUNTIES IN SOUTHWESTERN ILLINOIS UNTIL 245 PM CDT...

AT 152 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG
A LINE EXTENDING FROM GLEN CARBON TO O`FALLON. MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST
AT 25 MPH.

PEA SIZE HAIL AND WINDS IN EXCESS OF 40 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH
THESE STORMS.

O`FALLON...COLLINSVILLE...EDWARDSVILLE...GLEN CARBON...TROY...
MARYVILLE...PONTOON BEACH...CASEYVILLE...ROXANA...ST. JACOB...
MARINE...PRAIRIETOWN...CARPENTER...HAMEL...KUHN AND FRUIT.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
 INTERSTATE 70 IN ILLINOIS BETWEEN EXITS 21 AND 24.
 INTERSTATE 55 IN ILLINOIS BETWEEN EXITS 23 AND 30.
 INTERSTATE 64 IN ILLINOIS NEAR EXIT 14.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IS ALSO OCCURRING WITH THESE STORMS...AND MAY
LEAD TO LOCALIZED FLOODING. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE THROUGH
FLOODED ROADWAYS.

FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THESE STORMS.
LIGHTNING CAN STRIKE 10 MILES AWAY FROM A THUNDERSTORM. SEEK A SAFE
SHELTER INSIDE A BUILDING OR VEHICLE.

THESE STORMS MAY INTENSIFY...SO BE CERTAIN TO MONITOR LOCAL RADIO
