Big Muddy River near Murphysboro affecting Jackson County.
.The Big Muddy is expcted to remain in minor flood until Wednesday.
For the Big Muddy River...including Murphysboro...Minor flooding is
forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Big Muddy River near Murphysboro.
* WHEN...Until late Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Some minor flooding in S 3rd & Division /
Plum Street area.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 23.6 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:00 AM CDT Sunday was 23.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.7
feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early
Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
23.6 feet on 05/19/2008.
