...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR ANSON...SOUTHERN MONTGOMERY...
WESTERN RICHMOND AND STANLY COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 600 PM EDT...

The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe
limits, and have exited the warned area. Therefore, the warning will
be allowed to expire.  However, small hail, gusty winds and heavy
rain are still possible with these thunderstorms.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
central North Carolina.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
Raleigh.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning still remains in effect for
portions of Montgomery county.
