Through Wednesday night no impacts from the San Diego River are
expected. For Thursday, an incoming storm system is
expected to bring periods of precipitation to the area. Most of the
precipitation will fall Thursday, with scattered light to moderate showers
continuing into Friday. Current forecast for the San Diego River has the river
rising to monitor stage by 1 PM Thursday Feb 1, 2024 and the river reaching
flood stage at 10 ft by early evening Thursday Feb 1. The river is currently
forecast to peak at 10.6 ft by Thursday night. There is high  confidence the river will
exceed monitor stage (7.5 ft) and a 47% chance the river will exceed flood
stage (10 ft) by early Saturday morning.

morning.
