...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM CDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
  counties, Haskell and Throckmorton.

* WHEN...Until 115 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1012 PM CDT, a band of thunderstorms with heavy rainfall
    along the western Haskell county line were moving east at 30
    mph. Additionally, very heavy rainfall was falling over much
    of Throckmorton county moving north at 30 mph. Doppler radar
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
    arroyo and small stream flooding. Up to 1 inch of rain has
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Haskell, Stamford, Throckmorton, Rule, Rochester, Woodson,
    Weinert, O`Brien, Irby, Lake Stamford Marina, Millers Creek
    Reservoir, Paint Creek, Sagerton, Elbert, The Intersection Of
    Us-380 And Highway 222, Us-277 Near The Haskell-Knox County
    Line, The Intersection Of Us-183 And Us-283, Us-183 Near The
    Throckmorton-Baylor County Line, The Intersection Of Us-283
    And Ranch Road 209 and Lusk.
  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    Loop Road crossing Paint Creek, County Road 274 crossing
    Brushy Creek, crossings along County Road 247, County Road
    279 crossing North Paint Creek, lake crossing Kings Creek,
    crossings along County Road 374, crossings along County Road
    376, crossings along County Road 334 and Hill crossing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
