...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT WESTERN JEFFERSON...CENTRAL
SHAWNEE AND SOUTHEASTERN JACKSON COUNTIES THROUGH 915 AM CDT...

At 827 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 5 miles southwest of Muscotah to 3 miles south
of Auburn. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow
         around unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Topeka, Valley Falls, Auburn, Meriden, Hoyt, Ozawkie, Mayetta,
Denison, Perry Lake, and Grantville.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 near mile marker 355.
 Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 166 and 181.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 AM CDT for northeastern
and east central Kansas.
