...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM CDT
FOR EASTERN DICKINSON...SOUTHWESTERN GEARY AND NORTHWESTERN MORRIS
COUNTIES...

At 709 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles north of Moonlight to 3 miles southeast of
Chapman to 3 miles west of Herington, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 705 PM, trained spotters
         reported quarter-sized hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Junction City, Grandview Plaza, Chapman, Enterprise, Woodbine, and
Moonlight.

This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 278 and 305.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central and
east central Kansas.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
