ISSUED AT 310 PM CDT WED JUL 30 2014

IN GENERAL...HIGH PRESSURE WILL HOLD OVER THE AREA THROUGH THE
NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. AN UPPER LEVEL S/WV DROPPING OUT OF SASK WILL
MOVE THROUGH THE STATE THU...WITH ANOTHER WEAK S/WV PASSING
THROUGH ERN IA FRI. LOW PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP OVER THE CENTRAL
HIGH PLAINS SUNDAY...WITH A FRONTAL BOUNDARY EXTENDING INTO
NEBRASKA AND MO. THE FRONT WILL MOVE LITTLE INTO NEXT WEEK AS LOW
PRESSURE ADVANCES SLOWLY EAST.

ISSUED AT 310 PM CDT WED JUL 30 2014

STRATO CU FIELD SHOULD DIMINISH AS SUNSET APPROACHES THIS EVENING. A
WEAK TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE IS PASSING THROUGH THE AREA THIS
AFTERNOON WITH LITTLE IMPACT TO THE AREA. HIGH PRESSURE OFF TO THE
WEST WILL GRADUALLY MOVE INTO THE AREA TONIGHT WITH LIGHT WINDS
CONTINUING.  DEW POINTS HAVE NOT RISEN AS MUCH TODAY AS FORECAST AND
WITH THE EXPECTED DIURNAL RANGE AND AIRMASS SIMILAR TO LAST NIGHT...
HAVE ADJUSTED MINS/TD DOWN A DEGREE MOST AREAS. OTHERWISE SKIES WILL
CLEAR ONCE IMPACT OF DAYTIME HEATING IS NO LONGER AFFECTING THE
BOUNDARY LAYER.

S/WV IN SASK KICKED OFF A FEW THUNDERSTORMS TODAY AND WOULD
EXPECTED TO SEE ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TOMORROW AFTERNOON INTO THE
EVENING. WIDESPREAD ACTIVITY IS NOT LIKELY THE NEXT S/WV MOVING
SOUTH ON ON FRI WILL BRING ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TO EASTERN IA.

QUITE WEATHER FOR THE WEEKEND WITH HIGH PRESSURE REGAINING
CONTROL. THE PATTERN WILL BECOME MORE UNSETTLED MOVING INTO NEXT
WEEK AS A PIECE OF THE UPPER TROUGH OFF THE WEST COAST OVERTOPS
THE RIDGE AND MOVES INTO THE CENTRAL U.S. MAY SEE SOME RAIN AS
EARLY AS MON INTO TUE...MAINLY OVER THE NERN HALF OF THE CWA WHERE
DYNAMICS WILL BE STRONGER. LATER TUE AND WED WILL BRING A BETTER
CHANCE FOR RAIN AS A SECOND PIECE OF ENERGY DIGS A BIT FARTHER
SOUTH AND WEST INTO IA.

BROAD NORTHWEST FLOW WILL PERSIST ACROSS IOWA FOR THE DURATION OF
THE FORECAST WITH WIDESPREAD VFR CONDITIONS. CU FIELD WILL
DISSIPATE ONCE AGAIN QUICKLY THIS EVENING WITH GENERALLY CLEAR
SKIES OVERNIGHT. DAYTIME HEATING ON THURSDAY WILL DEVELOP THE CU
FIELD ONCE MORE WITH VFR BASES OF 4-5KFT. SURFACE WINDS WILL
REMAIN RELATIVELY LIGHT FOR DURATION OF FORECAST.
