THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER WAS A FEW DEGREES WARMER THAN NORMAL IN BOTH MAXIMUM,
MINIMUM AND AVERAGE TEMPERATURES.  THE TOTAL PRECIPITATION WAS AROUND AVERAGE, BUT
MUCH WETTER THAN THE PREVIOUS YEAR, BY JUST OVER 2 INCHES.  THERE WAS ALSO TWO
RECORD EVENTS.  ONE TOOK PLACE ON THE 26TH AND SET A NEW HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 69
DEGREES.  THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 67 DEGREES SET IN 1965.  THE SECOND RECORD WAS
FOR RAINFALL IN A 24 HOUR PERIOD ON THE 28TH FOR A TOTAL OF 2.72 INCHES.  THE
PREVIOUS RECORD WAS FOR 2.65 INCHES SET IN 1992.  NO SNOW OR FROZEN PRECIPITATION
WAS RECORDED WHICH IS NORMAL FOR THE MONTH.
