...WARM TEMPERATURES AND VERY LITTLE SNOWFALL...

ANOTHER WARM MONTH FOR THE ALASKAN PENINSULA AS HIGH MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES AVERAGED
42.6F...EXCEEDING THE NORMAL NOVEMBER TEMPERATURE MAXIMUM OF 39.1F. LOW MINIMUM
TEMPERATURES AVERAGED 34.5F...EXCEEDING THE NORMAL NOVEMBER TEMPERATURE MINIMUM OF
29.9F. TWO TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE SET THIS MONTH. COLD BAY AIRPORT RECORDED A
NEW HIGH MINIMUM TEMPERATURE OF 40 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT ON 16 NOV...BEATING THE
PREVIOUS RECORD OF 39F LAST SET IN 1959. NOV 17TH COLD BAY RECORDED
ANOTHER NEW HIGH MINIMUM TEMPERATURE OF 42F...BEATING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 41F
LAST SET IN 1993.

PRECIPITATION WAS NEAR NORMAL FOR NOVEMBER...WITH COLD BAY AIRPORT RECEIVING 4.93
INCHES...NEAR THE NORMAL NOVEMBER AVERAGE PRECIPITATION OF 4.98 INCHES. HOWEVER...
MOST OF THE PRECIPITATION FELL AS RAIN INSTEAD OF SNOW. ONLY 1.5 INCHES OF SNOW

A MAXIMUM WIND SPEED OF 58 MPH ON 16 NOVEMBER ASSOCIATED WITH A DEEPENING NORTH
PACIFIC LOW THAT MOVED JUST SOUTHEAST OF COLD BAY.
