REMARKS...

DECEMBER 2016 WAS RATHER AVERAGE IN TERMS OF TEMPERATURE. THE
AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 16.0 WAS 1.9 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. NO HIGH
OR LOW DAILY TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE SET.

PRECIPITATION WAS A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT STORY. WHILE THE 8.3 INCHES
OF MONTHLY SNOWFALL WAS A COUPLE OF INCHES BELOW AVERAGE, THE TOTAL
PRECIPITATION OF 1.27 TURNED OUT TO BE THE TENTH HIGHEST ON RECORD.
MUCH OF THE LIQUID EQUIVALENT FELL AS RAIN/FREEZING RAIN AND NOT
SNOW DURING THE CHRISTMAS DAY STORM.
